Before the pandemic I traveled 150,000 to 200,000 miles by air per year globally. I am into watches and have multiple watches worth over $10,000. I'm not a huge fan of taking $10k watches and dropping them in plastic trays at security or dumping them in my laptop bag during a flight. I've explored many options over the years and I have to say that I'm most impressed with this Mirage case. The case itself is extremely well made and sturdy. It does a phenomenal job of protecting watches in transit. I can easily put two of my watches in the case, put the case in my laptop bag, and travel without a second thought. I'd never had an issue - my watches have always arrived safe, sound, and protected.
What I really love about this case is the price. The case itself is reminiscent of the Hodinkee watch oval that sells for nearly $500. This one is just as high quality for a fraction of the price. Talk about win-win.
The only comment I'll make is to be aware of the size. The case is not tiny and may not fit in the smallest of laptop bags if that's how you roll. It's not a knock on the case ... just something to be aware of before purchasing. Assuming that's not a deal-breaker for you then I can't recommend this case enough. I am getting ready to purchase a second and will be giving these as gifts to some watch-loving colleagues come holiday season.
This is easily one of my best all-time purchases on Amazon. I highly recommend it.
